Hi, See the below link for Exchange 2010 OAB GAL not updating This link also contains entire documentation in PDF format with screenshots to help.

I suspect outlook tries to retrieve the global address list / exchange address book list from the server every now and again, but how is it possible to have the changes take affect on the users workstations more often (or faster), and without having to uncheck the "cached echange" option.

While in Offline mode you will have to enter the full email address for any recipient that isn't saved in your contacts list.

After completing these steps, you can reopen Outlook, make sure that it is not in Offline mode, and search for an email address to confirm that it is now referencing the most current global address book.

The only problem I am having is that the rest of the users on the domain are not able to see the changes to the name in thier address list when they go to send an email.

I read that unchecking the option of using "cached exchange" might solve the problem, and it did (for the one user that I changed this option), the address book was now of the correct spelling on this one users workstation/outlook account.
